Worship & Technology Coordinator
The Worship & Technology Coordinator is a salaried part-time position, responsible for leading the music and technology aspects of the Worship Ministry. The ideal candidate is skilled in both traditional and modern worship genres, contributing to a blended worship service. This role is pivotal in advancing UMCLW’s vision for worship services and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Pastor and Worship Design Team to create meaningful regular and special worship experiences.

Lead congregational singing, including teaching new songs as needed.

Select and secure music and musicians for worship services.

Coordinate with all musical contributors to align selections with the service themes.

Participate in worship planning meetings, Sunday services, and special services.

Be available for weddings and funerals, with first call/right of refusal for external requests.

Oversee church technology to support remote worship participation.

Manage church communications, including the weekly bulletin and mid-week email.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong vocal skills with the ability to lead and teach congregational singing.
Proficiency in traditional hymns and contemporary worship music.
Ability to accompany on piano or guitar.
Knowledge of worship service structures and the role of music in worship.
Familiarity with technology tools such as EZ Worship, YouTube Studio, Google Drive, Breeze, , Power Point, and Wix.
Flexibility and adaptability in working with various worship participants.
Accountability

The Worship & Technology Coordinator reports to the Pastor
and is accountable to the Leadership Team and Staff Parish Relations Committee.
A 60-day probationary period will begin upon hire, with a performance review at 45 days.
Either party may terminate employment during the probation period if the role is not a good fit.
A background check is required prior to employment.
Compensation
This is a Part-time salaried position with 20 hours a week expected
Payis $20,800.00 - $26,000.00 per year, depending on experience and expertise
Flexible hours outside of Sunday Morning for our Worship Service.​
